there does not seem to be much Boxsta' traffic on this board. I'll switch my avatar to the Boxsta' avatar in hopes of attracting all the brethren...

Post up pics of yours. I know you track, and I always wondered what type of roll protection boxster drivers use for trackdays? did you have a bar made? or are the stock roll bars sufficient?
Shig,
I've only tracked the TT. But I've done AutoX with the Boxster. They don't require anything more than a helmet to AutoX.
Guys I've seen at the track with the Boxsters typically have the Krey Brause rollbar extension since the earlier boxster's rollbars don't pass the "Broomstick" test for anyone over 5'7" or so. After my 3.8L install, I'm going to track my Boxster to see how it does. I'll advise.

Can you provide some info on the rollcage? The front portiom must be welded in, isn't it? How easy would it be to swap out the existing periodically? Give us some details, dammit!!!
I go with stock rollbars, no rollcage. No cage is required for POC Short Track Series, nor the 'rent-a-track' stuff that I do, and with the 987S, my head actually is below the rollbars unlike on the 986S.

(not one of my better taping days - the two above this show what I use now, which is temporary carpet runner - clear, super-thick Saran Wrap with adhesive, basically)
I'm getting my new track wheels tomorrow, having the R compounds put on tomorrow or Wednesday, and can't WAIT for the next track event (April 8-9)!!!

That's the starting grid at Streets of Willow Springs - in the middle of the desert, so it gets dusty because it's not on the main track. The rest of the track stays clean because there are cars flying 100mph over it, but that area is SO windy it gets like that often. Makes for a fun pic.

No accidents in POC in the 2 years I've been running with them, so I guess so. Again, the track is not dirty - just stones and stuff from the damn off-roading 944 drivers who apparently can't turn but cut into the corners and go offroad, spitting up rocks and stuff. Great fun, those 944 drivers.
