Pic Request: New Boxster w/ Hardtop
Hello.
Any new boxster owners out there have the hardtop? I'd love some pictures.
The hardtop on the previous generation looked fantastic.
The hardtop on my S2000 changes the car COMPLETELY from a roadster to a coupe. I think it's a MUST.
Picture away.

I know, I know... but I'm building each car, and will test drive both, but I don't know which I'd rather buy.I like being able to go topless (from my S2000 with hardtop), but I do like the hatchback setup of the Cayman. I guess it depends on lease #s for the two.

Thanks for the pic! Lapis is a LOVELY color, that picture doesn't do it justice.
Dave - That is actually very good to know. Because when I'm ready in 1 year, Porsche will probably start giving out better #s. I know it seems like a long way away, but I do homework early.
I picked up my FX last month, partially because it's in the later half of it's lifetime of the generation. Sure having the newest toy is great, but they still change the car a little every year. I'm paying $7,xxx for the FX in one year. Even if I bought it (MSRP of $49,610), it would be worth less than $43K at the end. And that doesnt factor in the opportunity cost or potential interest from the money I'd have to lay out to purchase it.
If Cayman's aren't selling, Porsche will have to change something. At, say $65K, I think I should be able to get one for 15-20% more than my FX (MSRP is about 15-20% more). Or is my logic extremely flawed? I'd prefer a Cayman, but I could go either way.

I'm in WA (live in Vancouver, BC for school but I do my car business and summers in Seattle). But I have no idea what the Porsche lots look like there now.
But, I picked up my new FX from a dealer in New Jersey. The West Coast dealers wouldn't get close to the pricing of the East. And the dealer from the NJ even split the cost of shipping it to me!
I always thought Porsche had some of the best depreciation rates. Interesting.
The payments I've seen in the other forum are nearly as much as to finance. Yikesss!
