I just look at them as they drive their Civic.

Funny thing is though,my dad has a 01' 996,the person who loves 911's will even admit that my Box handles and brakes better then his 911 anyday. The only thing performance wise that 996 has on my Boxster is the brutal torque that it can basically unleash at any time.

hehehehe....SuperCharge it!

I only have one because I can't afford a real Porsche, a 911. I also have a small ***** and fancy myself a woman.

I'm 19 and had my Boxster since I was 18. In person, I've NEVER had a negative comment about her.

Only online...

I cant believe this is a real post. I have both 997S and 986. I LOVE the Boxster and will never sell it. I did have an '04 SLK350 (7spd Auto) but sold it after just 6 months.... not a pure drivers car! Just MHO.

i only get negative comments on my car online as well.
in person i havent had one person say anythigna bout it (unless they are little ricers and jsut wanna streetrace from light to light, which is what this car is definitely not made for or to do) other than nice/positive comments

SLK vs Boxster

1st to the Top Gear comparison. They all said the prefer the Merc beacuse of the amazing grunt from the 5.5L engine. Well put 5 lites of muscle in the Boxster & see how much grunt you get. IMHO it make no sense in comparing apples with oranges.

Sure I think the Boxster would be great with a folding hardtop beause personally I think the softop is a pain, but once you drive it nothing else matters.

The car is a little underpowered maybe but I don't take mine to the drags I take it to the mountains.

Was resently thinking of going into a 997 Carrera, fantastic car, drives nice, heaps of grunt etc, but it just aint no Boxster so I've decided to keep what I got and buy another house instead. The 997 with 15Kms in Aus was A$190K that's about US$167. A better investment I think
