I think there are directions on evoms.com on how to change out the airfilter. added their v-flow thing. it was a pure PITA to get to the air filter to begin with.

soooo the link says boxster/cayman, but the pictures are of the cayman... is the air filter right there? so i have to pop open all that and get into the engine bay to swap it? o what a pain...

ok well i dont want to spend $350+ on an "air intake kit" so do any of you have the part number for the K&N replacement?

www.vividracing.com I just got one and I know he has them in stock. Its pretty easy to get the cover off and open the box on the Cayman, a slight PITA to work the filter into the airbox but you should be able to do it in 15 minutes or so.

I did not want to use the EVOMs unit as you essentially have to drill two holes in the airbox (which would ruin it) and I seriously doubt the EVOMs is much if any better than just the drop in IMO.

boxster/cayman/coxster/whatever. its all in the same gd place.

Yes, it was a HUUUUGGGEEE PITA to get the machined V-FLOW onto the air intake, and I wasn't too keen on drilling holes but .. whatever. Tech Support from EVO (Nate?) was very very helpful in assisting me thru the install.
