Racecity in Calgary

There is a road course there. I don't think it will be around long either, property is probably worth too much.

Statotech is a go-kart track in Ft Sask. They let sport bikes on some weekends. A friend of mine has driven his Radical on the track but it's pretty tight for that kind of car.

That's a very depressing list.

I guess you really only have Race City for a road course.

There are lapping events held at Stratotech.Unfortunately due to the tightness, no passing is allowed. Castrol is in the process of building a road course but I wouldn't expect it for another couple of years. Racecity is falling apart and I have heard rumblings of them closing for good, but we'll see. Quite a sad list though. My old car club rents out a couple of the army bases every once and awhile but speed limits are limited to 110kph.

The Stratotech lapping events that I've been to have allowed passing on the back straight, I didn't find it too tight, both times I've went I've taken my NSX. The timed event a couple months ago was great.

I've only made it out to one autocross at Race City, they also do Solo 1 but from what I've heard it's already booked up for the next season.

Calgary Sports Car Club has also done some autocross events at Penhold airport outside of Red Deer.

Some groups have autocross events at Namao Air Force base outside of Edmonton, I was registered to race there but I didn't make it out, you have to pre-register a week in advance with the base to go to these ones.

I've only lived in the Calgary area for about 4 months so I'm not completely up on all of groups that use the different venues.

Here are some pictures of me racing my NSX at Stratotech...

here are pictures of me autocrossing at Penhold Airport...

and here is a couple pictures of the day I blew up my VR-4 autocrossing at race city...
