...the wait continues...
...the wait continues...
Well its been over 3 weeks since I purchased the RS and we've had a difficult time trying to arrange a reputable shipper who would commit to a pickup date and transport the car from Dallas to Seattle (Bellevue) where I will have the car "Canadianized" (DRL's & KM display update) then drive it home to Vancouver. Seems there isn't much demand right now for that route. With some suggestions from a couple of 6speeders and the efforts of John at Lambo Dallas, FedEx Custom Critical (Passport) will be picking up the car later this week. It won't arrive at Barrier Porsche for about 10 days which is far too long... Anyway I thought I'd make the wait time a bit more productive so I had a clear bra installed today. I decided to cover the front bumper, hood, mirrors and fender lips. I excluded door edges, the area below the gas door etc to minimize lines. Here are some pictures from the installation. I'm anxious to see the finished product.

Hate to say it, but I had an enclosed transport arrive from Houston on Tuesday after departing on the 23rd. Who are you using? Did Lambo arrange it? I can only imagine how the wait is killing you! It'll all be over soon!
Can you not do the DRLs yourself through the Sport Chrono? And the metric unit change (temp, kms) in the onboard computer?

Arrived!
Well today was the day...finally! A buddy and I headed out from Vancouver at 8:00am to pick up the GT3RS at Barrier Motors in Bellevue. It's about a 2 hour drive + the US/Canadian border lineup which was light today, only about 20 minutes. We arrived at Barrier and there it was - on deck and ready to go! After a thorough look-over and some paperwork we were on our way back north. Shortly after pulling out of the dealer's lot I stopped at a light and experienced the unique mechanical signature of the LWFW - now I appreciate what I have been reading about. In my opinion it adds more charactor to what already makes a GT3RS such a special and unique car. Heading north on the I-405, traffic was fairly heavy through Bellevue and Seattle until we got closer to Everett, I couldn't wait to experience the performance of the car. I appreciate that its difficult to do that in a straight line traveling on the I-5 however it was still amazing, the sound, the power, the handling were all intoxicating. I turned on the radio only briefly, however the din of the engine and all the mechanical sounds combined to make the radio truly useless - what was I thinking. Following a stop to refuel and refresh we finally I arrived at the border, and, after an hour our so the paperwork was done and the RS was on its way home. It turned out to be a full day. I am really looking forward to taking the RS out for more complete orientation drive once it gets inspected and registered (the RIV process!). Discovering what the GT3RS is capable of has just begun. Attached are a couple of photos taken by my buddy.

Thanks for the posting. Its hard to say if its the first white RS in BC, I've seen 2 Orange RS' and 1 Black/Orange around Vancouver however no white ones. According to the GT3RS Registry there is 1 other white RS in Canada however the Registry if far from complete.
