Our dollar is in the weakest in 2 years time, hopefully it will stabilize or hold up in the enxt little while if not it will be tougher to make a decision between purchase on a US or CAD car.

$150K + GST is quite expensive for that vehicle (i guess if you traded in your M3, you would only have to pay GST on the diff)

Even if it had the ceramic brakes, it would be a little heavy on the price.

As mentioned by previous posters, if you spending that type of money get the options/colour you want.

I have a black turbo and its hard to see it dirty. A good wash/detail does wonders.

I have a black M3 and the layer of yellow dust in the summer i killing me. I am not sure if you see it on yours too.

I had a deal line up for a 08 997T 1500Miles and with almost all the options They wanted for $125. But our dollar is so weak now, I am trying to sense of the numbers. With duty, tax, mod, blah blah blah to get it to drive way is going to be $165. Not worth it anymore. For that price, I might as well pump money back into our economy.

Ya, the layer of dust is a pain in the ****.
Guess with a metallic black car, you just learn to live with it.

the dollar sucks .... it was close to par back in July.

plus with winter right around the corner, take the money you were going to spend on the turbo and buy some dirt cheap stocks and hope that by spring, your investments work out such that your in a GT2.

i have been buying into this market all the way down .... and have no money left.
but if things pick up, maybe my turbo will be for sale come springtime. lol

Not sure if you can drive a white TT due to your "feng shui" issue. Member MBRP located at Ont. has a full done up 997TT and going to trade for M3 today or tomorrow. With all the mods, he is letting it go at wholesale price. This might be the best for both of you!

I have already talked to Martin. It's really a nice P but I am not feeling the mods. The KMS is a bit high for me.

No, i wasn't at the last meet. I've yet to come although one day i would like to go for a drive with you guys.

funny thing is i was on the wait list for a E92 for about 8-9 months. Was told i was 4th in line for the M3 at Gallery BMW dealership in Calgary. But a few months before Calgary was set to get its first allocation, i had already made up mind that i was going to get a 997TT.

I have seen a few M3's on the street .... great looking car. But i have no regrets. lol
except when i need to use the trunk (virtually non-existant)

Oh I am close to buying one.

I thought I would like the Basalt black but as I see more pictures, it seems there are some brown in the direct sunlight. And some pictures, the basalt black is not looking so good.

If you want black, go with standard black. Basalt black give me the impression of dusty jet black look every time I see it. Meteor and Slate Grey are also good choice.

So what colour is replacing the basalt?

GT Silver is very nice, as are the Slate and Meteor greys...

I agree with ray basalt black sucks...I had it on my 987 boxtser prior to my standard black on my 997 turbo. I will never go basalt again.
