It's looking promising outside but I'm not getting my hopes up quite yet.
Hey Jackson thanks so much for the order and I'd love to see pix of the Targa- we just don't get many here;(

Jack are you in Edmonton? I think I saw your car about a month ago in the South side. Looks great, cool color!

I keep reading these threads and it makes me want to spend money on ridiculous automotive purchases. I bought this car with the intention of putting in a GT35R all along, but now the IS-F is looking mighty tempting. Howie i'm sure you'd prefer I bought that, instead of my noisy IS300 coming into the crescent everyday. SXN alerted me to a $7000 rebate being offered on '08 models, which has put me on the fence about buying one immediately. the only thing that's stopping me is that my dad is going to kill me if i show up with an IS-F instead of buying a house first.

Your Dad is a smart man... Home always comes before car in my books. It's the hands-down better investment (maybe not true of the US but definitely still true of Canadian urban centres)

Well, housing is coming down so fast that I could either buy a house and have It drop in value by 60k or I could just blow 60k on an is-f. Maybe I can pull off both?

cant really roommate. im in a serious relationship and i might even get married and all that nonsense.
i might be able to swing both.. i'm trying to negotiate on a demo model IS-F in Montreal that's already price reduce, but that $7000-rebate is still eligible.

SNX, Ya we met at the city skyline shoot.....

Stacy, the blower you have a line on...is it a 996 or 997 one? are there many differences? can one be made to work on the other? I'm interested in one, for my 996 targa..... it's probably just the ECU mapping that differs....no?
Thanks
Shalil

on the one day my dad let me borrow his car i raced against my uncle's IS-F (with intake/exhaust). 996TT-S was faster once we got going, the only thing that was keep the IS-F in the race was that it was outshifting me.
The only stuff I need to get finished for my current car for summer, is fix my down-pipe.. i think it cracked from bottoming out on something.

Speaking of housing-- I got a new 5 yr locked interest rate today-- 3.94%

Let me know if anyone wants to buy!

vv23, where'd you get that? The best i can find is 4.00% and that's not even locked. 5-year locked is like 4.10% with a shady bank or 4.15-4.25% for a real bank locked 5yr.

I just got the wheels and the exhaust on. I was going to wait till May but a pothole expedited my trip to Porsche.
The note is definitely subtle compared to what I'm used to but vastly improved over the stock system. I like the enhanced sound from start up and on throttle.
Thanks for the great service and quick shipping!

Here's a quick pic while I was over at my parent's.

Hey Howie, Yes, I am in Edmonton. I'm usually downtown or anywhere in the south fairly often. Were you in your 911? I'm starting to see more 911s out right now but only 1 or 2 turbos.
