i think it would be a good idea for canadian members to be able to post their cars for sale in a separate section.

Thats a good Idea, everytime i post a FS: Theard there for Local Pick up its gets Deleted...

 

that is because there are no classifieds permitted in open forum and they will be moved...if you look you will probably see that they were not deleted but were moved to the classified marketplace..they have to be in the marketplace, which gives you another reason to have your own section in the marketplace...again, this discussion needs to be in the site feedback/suggestions section for the admins to see it

there doesn't seem to be enough interest by Canadian members to have their own classified area...bandwith is precious and it would take a lot of effort to create another marketplace section...especially considering that you can do what members do when they want to target a specific geographic area and that is post the item in the marketplace and post a link to the classified in the geographic area...like this...

We are a different country, we need our own FS classfied.

 

we have members from more than 100 different countries...are you suggesting we have a classified section for each of them?...it has been almost a week and no Canadian members have posted in the site news and feedback thread in the link below...that doesn't show much interest...as suggested, you should post there if you want to persuade the admins

no...the marketplace is software controlled and doesn't permit threads by members with fewer than 100 posts...there would be no way to prevent newbies from posting ads here and they would get infractions and bans for doing it...let enough Canadian members post in the site news thread and the admins will consider it..so far there hasn't been enough interest

pretty simple here folks, leverage kijiji or ebay with local destination.. i'm sure the canadian numbers would not permit for any special treatment. the only recommendation for post of the nature would be to highlight a "Canadian deals and where to buy" post..my main issue has always been trying to find a quality place for my porsche parts at value for money.

 

Palette...you got me thinking...we could have a sticky in the Canada section for posting links to Canadian classifieds that are in the marketplace...that way whenever a Canadian posted a for sale in the marketplace they could post the link to the classified in the sticky..I will include the rules in the sticky which will state no posts for anyone with fewer than 100 posts unless the classified had moderator approval...does this sound like it could work for you guys?...I realize it is not as good as having your own section but it will give your classifieds more exposure as well as having one place for links to all Canada ads...thoughts eh...
