you know what, thats not bad for the Sound it Produces it... aks them how they do it... I was told they Open up the Mufflers and Re-Work it from Inside... get the details and post it
but since you say its an Hour, they probably just swap your mufflers and use yours as Core...

New cat is on, new mufflers are on!!! Car sounds so much better, acceleration is much smoother, feels like it was congested before. Mufflers took about 2-2 1/2 hours, stubborn clamp on one side....OK, my understanding is a by-pass pipe is added, similar to the PSE but a larger diameter, and is inserted to by-pass a larger volume of the exhaust.... No more CEL, great sounding exhaust, and the final price was well under the quote... good things do come in three's

They don't rework it from the Inside - they just weld a 2" pipe just like the gundo hack, but since it's Pfaff they charge $1300.
They sound really good and I'm contemplating the same thing except not done through pfaff.

no rework on the inside, but the pipe, that is made by Hindle (motorcycle exhaust) is shaped on the end and protrudes into the muffler, to divert the exhaust gasses. I don't have much more detail, I was tight on time when the car was ready.
