I'm not saying everyone should pay full retail, hell - I can't remember the last time I paid full retail for anything aftermarket related. All I'm saying is that quality curve tends to move towards the brand name parts. This isn't a forum about computers, high-end audio, or your life experiences that you KNOW. Save that for off-topic.

Oh...and I gotta give props to anyone that's willing to drive a gold car around...lol.
Don't get me wrong... I'm a right leaning libertarian so I support your right to spend your $$ however you see fit. After all it's great for the high end mfg.
Kinda' like the guy on HGTV last night who spent $120K on his kitchen remodel, haha... more power to him!

As a product developer, you hate to see knock offs of your stuff. not only in your MSRP are you recouping any marketing costs, but also manufacturing labor, artists/sketches, possible aero testing with data logging, and tooling. Multiple protoypes are often made too for most parts.

A knock off company spends only the orginal's cost, and new mold and materials cost. Sure that low price is great for the consumer, but more often than not, in the auto parts world, the knock off lacks in quality.

Many of the large body kit companies have been turning to PU or ABS plastics because molding costs are usually so costly that a knock off company won't invest the money to try and make a comparable plastic knock off.

yeah I was considering BLACK but didn't want anyone to think I was going through some ethnic group identity crisis. Wouldn't want to be one of those idiots rolling down the road listening to rap on their way to the B-Ball game, lol. That's sooooo West Side.
Now that's a statement...Better to be the guy driving the gold colored V6...

Whatevers, back on-topic - fake car parts suck. Nuff said.
