Weight Savings == Fuel Savings ??
Weight Savings == Fuel Savings ??
If I can remove a few hundred pounds , say 500 pounds from the mass of the Cayenne..
Will that increase the fuel efficiency of these cars?
THE reason I ask, is I would like to remove the rear seats completely, and in addition, remoe that heavy 4X4 system..
Maybe that would save 500 pounds and make these cars more fuel efficient
Any opinions .. or is this a foolish idea ???

Why would you do that? Maybe you should have considered the Hyundai Santa Fe. Many of our long time members think very highly of this fuel efficient vehicle.
As to the question, yes, it is foolish. Max 1.5MPG extra.
Try this, fill the truck up with 500pouds of sand, then compare to the MPGs you would get before the sand. Thats what you're going to save.
edit, look at what I found on the 6speed ebay auction adds, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...181281558&rd=1
