2008 models easier on the tires?

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the 2008 Cayenne has the same tire-eating isues the earlier models used to have? My old Cayenne ate tires worse than any other vehicle I've ever owned. It was a PITA. I'm hoping the problem has been resolved.

Thanks.

I highly doubt it, I hate the tyre eating issue related with the Cayenne. Now for a year and 2 months of driving with 24,000km my tyres are at end interms of grip, thread and they have punctured several times now.

I would love to know this as well. My 05 chewed them up like old bazooka gums.
I wonder if the Q7 has this issue or is it just in the Cayenne DNA?

My Cayenne has about 11,000 miles on it. I check the tire pressure regularly and rotate ever 3,000. They seem to be holding up well. Only rolling on 17's though.

I have a '06 Cayenne S, with 18" Pirelli P Zeros. After 14K miles, the tires look less than 50% worn. I onlly rotated them once, at around 10K miles.

My stock Michelin Diamaris were shot after 8k miles. I replaced them with 22's on Toyo Proxy S/T and currently have 14k on the odo. They are holding up much better and look less than half worn. The weight of the Cayenne is most likely the culprit and since the '08 weighs the same, I am sure it will eat through tires just the same.
