I thought that I read that true plug and play (cables ready and waiting in the rear) didn't happen until 2005. Of course, since I have a 2006, I have no first hand experience witha 2004.

Mine was not Plug and Play the dealer installed the CDC before delivery.

I had a problem with it a few months later and they pulled one out of a showroom car to put inot mine. At that time they told me that the job they did on mine was no longer required as all the new ones coming in without CDC were pre wired. That was prior to MY 05 coming out by about 5 months

Just a follow up to finish off this thread...

I received my changer and installed it in my 05 CS... Just like Mudman said, the bracket and cables were already installed just waiting for the changer... There's a dummy plug that must be removed on the MOST loop... Keep this plug because if you take the changer out you will need it to make the MOST loop so your system will still operate...

Once I installed the changer, the radio did not recognize the changer in the loop... A 15 minute visit to the Porsche dealer for a PIWIS update and BINGO, the changer is now working perfectly... My dealer did not charge me to do the update...

Thanks for all the help...
