I Should Be Arrested! I Stole This Ctt!
HI GUYS....NEW TO THE CAYENNE WORLD, JUST SOLD MY 996TT AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR MONTHS FOR THE RIGHT CTT. WELL, I FOUND HER! I REALLY DON'T KNOW A LOT ABOUT THE CTT'S, SO YOU ALL WILL HAVE TO FORGIVE ME AS I LEARN. ANYWAY, I SPOTTED THIS 05' CAR ON CARS.COM, AND THE CAR HAD 21K MILES ON IT, AND THE [B]DEALER[B] WAS ASKING $54,998 FOR IT. IT LOOKED FLAWLESS FROM THE PICS, AND I ASKED ABOUT THE RIMS...GUY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY WERE. LONG STORY SHORT, I MADE THE 2 AND A HALF HOUR TRIP AND THE CAR KNOCKED ME OFF MY FEET! JUST STUNNING! ASKED AGAIN ABOUT THE RIMS, DIDN'T KNOW. SO, AFTER LOOKING REAL CLOSE, I SAW THAT EACH RIVET WAS STAMPED WITH "HRE!" WITH BRAND NEW RUBBER ALL THE WAY AROUND! THEN, I LOOKED IN THE REAR COMPARTMENT WERE THE ECU IS CONTAINED, AND SAW A "RINDSPEED" MODULE ATTACHED. I KNEW IT WAS THE LOWERING MODULE, BUT THEY DIDN'T. OFFERED HIM $50K, JUST FOR GIGGLES, AND THE GUY ACTUALLY WENT DOWN TO $53K!!! I FEEL LIKE I JUST STOLE THIS THING! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? HAS BOSE, PCM 2.1, REAR SHADES, FULL LEATHER, AIR SUSPENSION, 6 DISK CD CHGR, SWEADE HEADLINER, SUNROOF. COULD BE OTHER GOODIES, NOT SURE. CAR IS FLAWLESS INSIDE.
I APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS GUYS IN ADVANCE, AND AM HONORED TO JOIN THE CTT FAMILY! CAR IS JUST AWESOME!

Congratulations! it looks great....I'm new here too...I bought an 05 CTT just like you...only mine has 39k miles on it and I purchased it for $42k. I should have mine in about another week or so...it's also silver but it has stock 19s on it...after looking at yours, I think the black rims look awesome...I have been pondering whether or not to get black 22s for it and now I think I'm sold on the idea!
Enjoy that ride....time to find some nice stretch roads where you can open her up.

$42!!! Awesome! Congrats! Still low miles too. I didn't even really care about the wheels when I was looking to buy it, just got lucky. I was more concerned about the low miles, and having the warranty. Yeah, 22's is the way to go all the way. I didn't like black on the cars.com pictures, but they really do look great in person. Good luck, and post some pics of your car when you can.
I don't know about the price but thats one beautiful setup. Congrats and GL.

Congradulations on the new cayenne, it looks absolutley wonderful.
Your wheels are either Gemballa's or At italia wheels if I am not mistaken.

Thanks for your comments guys! Sure love this thing
Your CTT looks great but I don't think you stole it at all... When I was looking for a Cayenne for my wife I looked at several Ctt and CS Ceyennes and finally decided on the CS... I was able to talk several of the dealers down below $50,000 on the CTTs with low mileage... We almost decided on a Ctt in Delaware that had 31,000 miles for $48,900 but my wife did not like the light silver... We ultimately decided on a CS that is a CPO with 24,000 miles for $37,900 in Titanium... It had everything my wife was looking for and looked as if it just came off the showroom floor... $37,900 with a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty was tough to pass up...
I think you did well but steal it? Not hardly...
Good luck with your CTT...

A CS, and a CTT are two different animals, and not even worth comparing. Your $49k CTT falls right in line with the good deal I got, since that one had 10k miles MORE than mine, but that one, I am guessing, didn't have the $17k in add ons that mine did(wheels, tires, rinspeed lowering module). What, exactly IS your point...
Have fun with your CS and good luck to you as well
Having just purchased a 2005 CTT, I think you did very well in light of the miles, HRE and lowering module. Mine is a $113K MSRP car with 41,000 miles for $47,000
The guy that stole it, is the 39K miles for $42K.
Bull---was there a titanium edition CS in 2005?

Thanks Pauly....
I thought I did pretty good too, and I am just excited about the car and wanted to share with all you guys. I realize I am being a little over the top with "I should be arrested," but just having fun with my new/used CTT, and again, excited about it, and wanted to share my fun!
Thanks again!
That was my point... The Cayenne is one of the best deals in used cars as their resale value sucks... If you bought it from a dealer, I doubt the person that traded it got more than $43,000 on the trade as they would only get wholesale trade value... They probably made about $10k on the deal less advertising and any reconditioning that was done... I think you got a decent deal considering the lowering module and wheels... Definately not a steal though... A steal would be buying the CTT at Manheim numbers... 2005 loaded CTTs sell at Manheim to dealers for $42,000-48,000.00...
Since the CS was for my wife and everyday use around town, we didn't see the point in bellying up the extra cash for the CTT... $37,900 for a CPO with 24,000 miles was a good deal, not a steal but a good deal... Anyway, her RS4 sucks the doors off a Ctt anyway...
In answer to the Titanium question? Titanium Editions did not come out until 2006... Hers is Titanium with the options she wanted...
