Here is another place (VertexAuto.com) that has them for $389 with a 1 year warranty. See: Porsche Cayenne Drive Shaft / Cardan Shaft

What are the steps to install shaft?

I'd be interested in knowing how to install the shaft. Thanks.

If you try to tackle it your self i could tell you the steps.

Does it vibrate at the wheels, at the motor or at the cardan shaft?

Almost stalls? Is it missing? If so, then you're talking about coil plugs.

I'd get them from eBay or Sunset Imports.

Had mine done last fall. It seemed to have rougher shifts and there was some vibration when stopped on inclines. Replaced the Cardan shaft (2005) under CPO.

However, once it was done, the SUV carved corners like never before. She seemed more amenable to stearing by fine throttle inputs and drove more like a sports car.

Sounds the same as mine when the cardan shaft needed replacing.
