Aftermarket Warranties

Has anyone here purschased one or know if they are worth purchasing? My CTT's warranty will run out in like a month and I just bought it used...I have the opportunity to buy one from Carcheck for about $3k but it covers everything and they said minus a $100 deductible I don't have to pay anything (even at the time of repairs)...I thought it was a good idea and it will cover me for an addtional 4 years or 60k miles...any opinions on this?

I was just thinking that Porsche's are finicky and repairs (even minor ones) can become quite costly.

Ace, When I had a 911TT I used www.autowarrantybrokers.com to get a 0 deductible warranty through Mercury Insurance - it worked great for me and the repair shop.

Now with my CL55 I used Daimler Chrysler because Mercury wasn't writing AMG's at the time and it has worked great also. Google e-service contracts michael case and you should find them.

Both were in the 2.7k range for 7 yrs 100k (from in service date).

Thanks DFW911T...I'm gonna check into it...I will most likely get one as repairs can get pretty expensive.

I like the warranty you posted the link for...I am going to purschase the 60 months/100,000 mile platinum zero deductible warranty...can't go wrong with that...plus I'm sure all Porsche dealer repair centers are certified right?

I purchased the 100k warranty today...they even gave me a discount and the final price came to $4k even...I did some additional research and the warranty you linked has the highest ratings...they said it will go in effect in one month so I'm going to re-schedule my appointment with Porsche then to have the car checked out top to bottom...this why I won't have to pay for repairs. Once again, thanks for linking that warranty company.
