I hope the 22x9.5 and 22x10.5 HRE can fit my car, I remember someone saying that it is possible. I will double check.

But tires will be an issue, I think

Tires are the issue...... I looked at what size tires I wanted... then found the rims that would work....because for me I wanted the width!! Some might choose the style rim they love, then use whatever tire will fit that rim.

Deetz,

Wheel width is not as much of a problem as proper tire sizing. In our 21" set up we us a 9" front with 11" rear and our 22" set up uses 9" front and 11" rear as well. All the offsets and fitments work out perfectly. Wheels do not protrude past the fender and handling improves dramatically.

A few wheel/tire dealers have told me not to stagger wheels on an AWD vehicle as it will hinder performance. Comments?

staggered setup is no problem at all !! remember: as long as the overall diameter of front to back is close or the same (no more than 3%different) it is the same as non staggered setup.
My 996 TT cab has a staggered setup..as do many many AWD cars. I have 285-35/21 front and 325-30/21 back for over 5 weeks now and the cayenne TT handles and sticks like glue.
anyone else know of anything different??

I had heard this before and recently Peter at WheelExperts mentioned this to me in our last conversation. Just curious, why did you go with the 21" vs 22"?

I went with 21" because.....michelin makes the diamaris in 325-30/21 as far as I know, this is the widest tire that will fit. Michelin and BBS teamed up to make this setup just for the cayenne. the wheels are BBS RXII
all 22" setups are using 275 or 265 tire widths. I will post some pics of the setup... from the rear the tires look massivly wide.
they actually are like adding spacers because they come out farther , actually to the edge of the wheel well.

It was my understanding that the 22's were also using either 285 or 295 depending on the wheel width. Although I think that BBS still makes one of the finest wheels personally I find them a bit old school. I'm leaning more toward HRE and Gemballa.

Which model HRE? And I'll assume you went with 9.5 all around. What tires and sizes are you running?
