I brought my '08 Cayenne TT and this is what I got!
My dealer tried to charge me last time stating that they were not a big enough volume dealer to afford the Porsche loaner program. Upon further questioning, they told me Porsche charges around 15K a month to have the loaner program. I got stuck with a Pontiac Grand Prix stripper for 5 dollars. I didn't wanna quibble about 5 bucks, but to pay for a Pontiac pissed me off.
loaners
Geez:
4 pages of whining...
If you don't like it buy another marque.
This is my 3rd and final Porsche; for this reason. I traded a 996t in for my 06 ctts and have had the exact same treatment; in regards to service and loaners.
Warranty is less than any other marque... build quality is less, and user technology is horrible (ipod friendliness??); not too mention resale values.
Where is that Kia thread that was going on a while back???

HBL of Tysons is LOSING A LOT OF BUSINESS!!!!
Those bastards (with exception to the Service Mgr for Porsche - he's a great guy and he's the only reason why I would still step back in there) did my inspection and emissions last week on the Mercedes side, after they were done revving the engine a couple times in the garage (they didn't think I could 1st hear it, and 2 would be watching their every move), they finished the inspection. They told me it would take 30 minutes. An hour and a half later, including my wife about to chew my head off for being there so long, I get the car back. When I started it, an Airbag failure light came on. When I told the Mercedes Techs about this issue, all three of them (including the two guys that drove it out and back in to me) all looked at me like 1st they had no idea why it happened and 2 that they were not responsible. When I asked for their manager, they said I would need to wait until he was done with lunch. Then I was livid. The Mercedes Service Mgr came down all pissed cuz he couldn't eat his delicious lunch and said the same thing. Take it across the straight and have them look at it. No, let me place a phone call and let the Porsche side know what went wrong, let me offer you my apologies. Nothing like that. They are downright the lowest grade of customer service you can expect from anyone. I thought Rosenthal Nissan was bad, but these guys are worse. Again, Porsche's Service Mgr is Phenomenal.
Just my $.02. Feel lucky you got a new Canyon.
