You can get that on the Cayenne and Cayenne S, the GTS should come with Turbo's at least try adding the options up leather here and there and your knocking on the door step of a nicely spec'd Cayenne Turbo.

The US price is 69K and it comes standard with extra hp, pasm, sports exhaust, turbo body kit etc. A nicely optioned one should be high 70's. The cheapest CTT ive seen is 96K. GTS sounds like a good deal to me.

Its not like driving a 6 speed 997 or Cayman, its like driving a 6 speed in a truck...I have read a lot of complaints because the throws are really long. Plus, I would never want a manual SUV...seems like an oxymoron.

Tip is a no-cost option. I hear (never persoanlly drove one) that the stick is great! Obviously not AS good as the 911 but fun regardless.

Even if it is a good manual, I just can't imagine having one in an SUV. We had an S and it was great. We towed racecars with it, drove it year around, etc. It was the best all around vehicle out there. However, the GTS loses some of that utility IMO. I would rather pay more, get the TT and have air suspension. PASM in the GTS is going to be punishing and take away one of the greatest characteristics the Cayenne has going for it.

No unfortunately the tip is a few grand more...base price $72,300.00.

I do not think we will see any meaningful reviews of the manual vs the tip until the GTS is officially released next month.

Even then what it will mean to future buyers will probably be up to personal preference...after all, it is just a TRUCK, no matter how people try to spin the hype.

I am not trying to convince anyone but I have a small suv with a manual and it's very zippy and a lot of fun. While that may change with the mass of the GTS, I am hopping that the standard air suspension and pasm will compansate a little. I am planning to add pdcc and bose stereo. Anyone knows when the GTS will be arriving in dealerships? For those who ordered, how long does it take for it to be delivered?

I think the GTS is a nice option for buyers who don't need all the utility that the Cayenne S offers, don't want to spend $100K for a Turbo, but do enjoy the seating space and practicality of a AWD truck. The additions all seem well thought out, and the car looks and sounds great. Nicely optioned it should be in the mid-upper $70K range.

If one truly needs utility I'm not sure I'd got for the Turbo. For major hauling the cars seems to lack space, requires changing out to winter wheels/tires which results in less than pleasing aesthetics, and sacrificing performance in a 500HP monster seems strange. Oh, and I'd cringe every time the paint got scraped on brush or rocks banged up the undercarriage. I see the Cayenne as a nice utilitarian option with driver involvement, and the GTS as a good gap for the performance minded who don't want to dish out the big bucks.

The order form lists the manual GTS starting at $69,200 and the tip starting at $72,200. I have another (newer?) work order which has the tip starting at $72,300...must be the lousy US dollar . They list the manual transmission as a "6-speed Manual Transmission with dual mass flywheel. All wheel drive." and the automatic as "6-speed Tiptronic S with Porsche Hill Holder and shift on the move. All wheel drive."

I could not get on to the Porsche Car Configurator (for the US) tonight to check.
