S vs GTS

I have priced both on the Porsche site configurator. For what I want the S is $9500 less than the GTS. I don't need 20 more HP, and 21" wheels. The bodywork options are not $9500 nice.
The 0 to 60 speed improvements come from the change in the lower drive axle ratio on the GTS. I would love that 2 second advantage. Can those ratios be bought in the aftermarket? They are 4.1:1 in the GTS vs. 3.55:1 in the S. PASM on the European model are new this year on the GTS, but the old PASM/air suspension option from prior years are what we are getting in the USA.

Changing gear ratios can be an expensive and tricky issue. I don't know that I would want someone cracking open the transmission and differential.

I wonder what the ratio change does to fuel economy.

I can definitely wait for the new body style in 2010... I'm hoping they make the GTS in the redesigned version... According to the Porsche dealer it's supposed to be a much sleaker looking machine...

I really think an SMG style transmission would be great for the CTT. 6-speed on an SUV is odd and SMG would be a nice sweet spot!

I bought a CTT this past week and nothing else compares IMO when it comes to SUV's. Much stronger than the other Cayennes
