I felt this years BDC was one of the weakest I have ever seen. I believe they had less cars this year and why is it that they picked the GT4 and not the GT3? Also why wouldn't they pick the C4GTS? I have driven the AMG GTS and as much as Benz tried to copy the shape of the 991 in the rear they failed to keep up with how the 991 feels and drives JMHO. I guess they cant have Porsche win it all.

 

One car per brand. They mentioned it in the video.

I wouldn't have guessed the miata would make it to final three.

 

Part of me thinks Porsches win too much and they would looked slanted if that happened. What was a PR mess is that the Z06 was a DNF. The Z06 was tested somewhere else where it went into limp mode after 3 laps. The Z06 should have won this handily I thought.

 

I don't think we have had a single Z06 finish even an HPDE day at Miller Motorsports Park. I have witnessed several of them fail within 6 laps or so. The last Z06 that I instructed in lasted only 5 laps before the oil temp gauge was pegged and the car reported engine overtemp and power steering faults. They have major overheating issues.

 

Where did they mention it? 2 Mercedes and 2 Cadillacs....

The tall gearing IS a recurring flaw here in Porsche land. Spirited back road driving is a 2nd gear only affair in mine too, pretty much eliminates the joy of shifting.

 

New cars only.. GT3 won last year so it did not qualify.

I drove my friends Gt-s right after driving his 458 and yes it's that good.

I supose it has to be, considering that engine and chassis layout.
Just never expected it to be so highly praised for putting power down, when exiting a turn.

Hopefully...not sure though with those darn tubos...there's a reason why tt/tts haven't been best driver's cars..
