Gateway 500 Review
Gateway 500 Review
So I finally got the GW 500 in and working. Thanks to Jeremy at Imagine Auto which sold me the piece.
So far im very satisfied with it. My iPod classic works just fine with it.
Im stil getting used to the operation of it and accessing songs and playlists. I wish I could browse more than 30 playlists when browsing through it, but its not terrible. The sound quality is excellent, now all i need is a long cable to move the iPod from the trunk into the arm rest.
Great piece, I highly recomend it to anyone that is thinking about it.

Its not hard, depending on how skilled you are. Follow the instructions on the manual for the fiber optic light direction.
I would suggest to remove the rear trim as much as possible so you can easily access the fiber optic plug on your CD Changer assuming you have one. I had a bit of trouble connecting the GW 500 plug to it for lack of space.
As for power, it is super easy, constant 12v right there (at least on my car). I think there are some pics on the other forum that would be helpful. But seriously its no big deal.
