'08 Cayenne GTS Have Arrived!!

Just spoke to a dealer in my area who I've bought several cars from, Prestige Imports in Denver, and my sales consultant said that he has a Red GTS on the showroom floor. He sounds pretty excited about it and will take it out for a spin next week. Apparently it can't be sold until 3/1/08, or thereabouts. He told me that they were available in red, gold and black (it was my understanding that only red and gold were offered) and that the ones coming to Prestige had MSRPs in the $93k - $94k range- fully loaded. An invitation for a test drive was extended- do I dare take him up on it

that is almost like a TT without any option. I may just go for a TT with minimal options

i agree, a GTS that is approaching $100K is just too much. i just built a CT for $101K. the CT come standard with pretty much everything you want. i added moonroof, 21" wheels, trailer hitch w/o hitch ball, sport seats, light comfort package, and sun screens. done.

Besides, the GTS is brand new so no discount at my dealer, but they have a few TT on the lot and I am sure they will offer some discount like $5k or more, so at the end it is very little different in price.

I haven't seen discounts on TT

Five grand would be nice from what I've seen in the upper midwest.

$3140 just for the color? That's ridiculous.

I do find the GTS appealing, but at the end of the day, it's a lot of money for a body kit. In my area, a local dealer is advertising $10K off on two of their Cayenne Turbos on the lot. That's what I'd pick up for $90K.

I agree, especially when they only show the GTS Red in every commercial/ad and then you find out you're stiffed $3,140 for it. I'm not familiar with other P-car colors on other models but is there any other color similar to this price?

Yes,same price on other colors considered "special" for a particular model and more still ($4,315) for matched-to-sample paint (sadly not offered on Cayenne). Interestingly, the dark olive metallic on the Cayenne is a regular color, but it is $3,140 on others. The Nordic Gold Metallic offered on the CGTS is really stunning in person, although it just looks like scary orange in photos.

$94K ???!!! wow...

Down here in Puebla, Mexico, today is the presentation, base is $94k but includes 15% Tax and 10% New Car Tax, Transport Fees and Delivery Service... sales rep told me the average is $102k and one reached $111k for the ones they will have available through out the year...

Quite expensive for a recession period, will sales stagnate? My predictions is GTS's won't be flying out the dealer but will see...
