Thinking about Cayenne Purchase
p0rsche3,
Thanks for the advise. $2850 from Total Care is a no brainer "Got to have!" Sure beats $4k to $5k that I probably would have passed on. My garage might mirror yours soon, except the colors sine my 996 is silver and the Cayenne is still unknown

Here's the specific info on the warranty plan:
Check out EasyCare here: http://www.easycare.com/easycare/pro...acts/totalcare > This is the plan that I bought.
Then call The Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills, press 0 for the operator and ask to speak with Courtney in the finance department about setting up an EasyCare / Total Care policy. The 6yr/60k mile plan seemed like the best bang for the buck, but if you want to save a bit get the 5/50.
The Auto Gallery: 818-884-4411
Be advised that you will probably need to have your car serviced / inspected by The Auto Gallery as a pre-condition for getting the warranty coverage from EasyCare. I did not have to do this since the previous owner had just done the service there a few months back and they had it on record (lucked out yet again!).

Well i guess you should get a black CTT then... LOL
I think it is about $280 for the pre-warranty inspection, and mosly involves getting an oil change and taking test drive to evaluate condition of engine/car. That's what I recall from my phone conversations with Auto Gallery.
If you had an inspection / oil change recently done somewhere they send you a form to fill out by the shop, and ask for a copy of the work order. This can be given in lieu of paying for another inspection.
IIRC

Definitely get a CPO from a good dealership especially if you are going with an 05 and older. I just picked mine up from Rusnak in Pasadena and negotiated my CPO warranty for 100,000 miles or 2011.
Heck we ought to have a sticky for California warranty providers and info. There are not a lot of extended warranty choices available in California.
Since my car was a CPO my warranty is from the manufacturer just as if I bought the car new. So it is not a third party aftermarket warranty. The warranty was included in the original list price and I negotiated the list price down about 6k as well. So I think I got a pretty good deal.
