Pirelli or Michelin???

I currently have Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico 275/45/19's

I need new tires. The Pirelli's have been okay...A liitle noisey as they wore and they wore pretty quick. If someone has any experience with 19's... I would be interested in alternatives. The only one I have come up with in this size is Continental 4x4 SportContact. They are considerably more expensive...$260.00 per tire vs. $209.00 for the Pirelli's. Are the Continentals worth the extra cost??? Thanks

Rockitman,

How many miles did you get out of your Slipirellis?

Mine were burnt at 10,000.

I will be replacing them with the Continentals and in Canada they are the same price as the Pirelli. The Michelin is not made in 19 inch diameter.

Correct...I meant to say Continental in the thread subject line...I may go with Continentals for my 19's. I did see michelins in 285/45/19. They say they can be mounted on 19x9 wheels. Somehow the rolling diameter is greater with the 285's even though both side walls are 45 with the P's and the Mich's

275 Pirellis: 725 revs/mile
275 Contis: 724 revs/mile
285 Michelin: 714 revs/mile

What is the implication of fewer revs per mile???
Going faster than the speedo indicates???
Any other issues of concern with fewer revs using the 285's???
