2009 Option Mis-Pricing
That's more than I got. My build order for my 2009 has $0 for all the options (wouldn't THAT be sweet). But the price increase should be very modest, so I'm not too worried.
What bothered me, however, is that my dealer didn't offer info about any changes to the options for 2009. So I had to spec it as if it was a 2008. For instance, does the new PCM come with voice actuation or is that a separate option? Do 2009s built at the very beginning of the MY even have the new PCM? Are there any other new options for 2009 (other than PCCB, which I didn't want and assume will be ~$8K+). Any new colors, other than the CTTS-exclusive gray? I wanted to add the full leather interior a week ago but according to my dealer (even though the car won't be built until June) I can't make any changes to my order since it is already in "the system". Anyone know if this is BS?

Pugman, actually this is true. I have *cough* 10 x V6s, 2 x GTSs, and 2 Turbo Ss for June production. Then I got this and basically salesman is telling me BE PREPARED for price increases
The GTS price looks like it will increase by less than 2%, based on the European prices. Of course, who knows what that means for U.S. models? But, again, it would be foolish for them to have a major price increase at this time. Here is a link to a press release from Porsche regarding the June 1, 2008 increase:

My salesman said to expect an increase, but "no big surprises; a couple of percent." I can live with that.
The major increase in price, as I and a few salespeople have discussed, will be targeted at the Cayenne V6 model. With the current Euro/dollar, Porsche would save money selling fewer V6s than Ss, GTSs and Turbos.
