Cayenne V6 deceleration question.

Hi, just got a 2006 V6 cayenne with 24,000 kilometers. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light/share experience on my issue.

I feel that there is a jerk/roughness when the gear changes from 6-5, 5-4, 4-3 when normal decelerating (slowing down). is this normal for porsches? i tests drove a 2003 cayenne S and this had the same feeling. went to the porsche service dealer and was told that it is normal.....cos its a sports car therefore expect some slight roughness. and not to be compared to luxury cars i.e mercs, beemers.

i always thought porsches are smooth and refined. i cud be wrong. I was comparing to my Infinity Fx35 which is more sportier but changes gears smoothly even when downshifts. I may be paranoid, but just didnt feel right that an expensive german car has this characteristic.

It is normal, but if you feel a tough roughness, then bring it to dealer

I've never experienced this problem, and I have 21k on her.
Go back to the stealer and let them hook it up and do a reset. If he says no, it's normal, find another dealer or call Porsche.

It doesnt happen all the time, but at times (rarely) its quite a jerk. otherwise i just feel the gear changing mechanically (slight vibration). I just find this irritating and would not expect it on an expensive car. I am now thinking of selling it!..sigh.

in my opinion, my infinity fx35 drives and handles better. the cayenne is quite loose. If I want to lower the car for better handling, which is better? HnR or Eibach? i still want the comfort not too bumpy.

thanx for the response. yes i heard Hnr is stiffer therefore better handling than eibach i suppose. Anyobe here has experience with eibach? for me as long as it feels like the air suspension "sport" function, i am ok.

you have a nice 22 inch setup, but did u lower ur car? and did the bypass pipes really improved your power?
