Air suspension warning , but works fine?

Today I got the air suspension warning this morning.
The air suspension is working fine, rises and lowers the car , stays at the height I program , suspension feels fine.
Took a 150 off road trip (was the plan when I left the house and when I got this warning).

Warning kept coming on during the day, not inmediatelly but sometimes after 5 minutes other times after 30.
Drove the hell out the cayenne today, and worked awesome, technical steep climbs and descends, rocky roads, fast , slow, and the car and suspension felt great.

So any ideas what could this be? I get the warning but works fine.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Its a Cayenne S 2004, do you guys know if there has been a recall for this in 2004 model?

What is the alarm message? Chassis system faulty? If so, then the problem is with the air suspension module that can be found at the rear trunk. Either get a lowering module that will fix the problem, or go to local stealership to have your susp. module replaced for a couple grands.

It's normally just one of the level sensors. Just have your dealer pull the code. I wouldn't jump right into thinking it's a module.

I will take this thread to ask, it fits quite well.

my 2005 is claiming AIR SUSPENSION FAULT WORKSHOP since a while and more and more.
lowering works fine, but raising one step takes very long (up to 40 sec.). Car drives normal.
error messages usually pops up just after starting or within first mile.

I would like to DIY, are there some known part # to replace?

thanks alot!

from your symptons it sounds like its the air compressor not filling up the reservoir as fast as the system would like it too. There is a air compressor rebuild kit and its a DIY.

I am not sure if I can post links to other sites or not but ill send you a PM.

thank you!
strange thing is that filling tires works very well. and there is no error msg if you alter ride height just after start??

will check that seal kit.
