Stealers...

I got my vehicle inspected for trade in value and they said they can buy it for $50k. 2008 Cayenne S, with an MSRP of 78K, with 11k miles on it...

I've never seen a depreciation like this...

Yeah, pretty steep curve on the Cayennes. I share your pain.

What is next after the CS?

09 Turbo S..

I'm also trading my granturismo with a Ferrari F430.. But I'll probably do that in the beginning of spring, so that I can enjoy it in the good weather..

I am going to ask 58K for mine and no sales tax in GA and see how I fair.

I got my '05 Turbo w/ Techart kit, Techart exhaust and 22" Techart wheels for $62k. That's w/ dealer profit built it. Imagine how much the previous owner must have traded it in for...maybe $45-50k?? Ouch! It costs a lot to have the latest toys.

I am not 100% committed to selling it yet A vert of some sort but knowing me and the market if I don't get what I want then i won't sell. We will see.

The main reason of selling it before was because I got a new pup and i feel better when she is in the X5(older) and I don't need two SUV's. Silly reason but hey we all have them

Tough times in the car business these days. Why not sell it yourself? I rarely if ever trade, the numbers p!ss me off too. We just bought a 07 QP Sport GT for ~$55k less then the original MSRP from a Maser dealer who sold the car new. It cost the poor guy who traded it ~$9/mile (provided he paid something close to MSRP & he traded it for less than we paid) in the 8 months he owned it...... You're far better off selling it yourself b/c the dealer has to be able to resell it for a profit. Can't blame them for that? Unfortunate side of buying and selling often.

I don't think it's just depreciation. All SUV's are getting killed (unless hybrid) on trade in value because the dealer knows they'll have a tough time selling it when everyone is concerned about high gas prices. I would hang onto it unless you just don't care about taking a hit

You think Porsche depreciation is bad, look at the Range Rovers.

Mine is about 70% in 30 months on my RR HSE Supercharged. Worth the same as a RR Sport Supercharged. Bad time to be addicted to cars.

I just sold our 08 RRSC a few months ago, wasn't bad then (paid $73.5k - base SC plus rear entertainment - sold it for $66k) but things have gotten worse since in terms of gas prices.
