New product lowering module
So I got the part drove around a bit, then a lot faster.. i say wow!!
handles very well...
So it's basically a defeat for the airsuspension, by activating the
aircompressor under the passenger seat. i guess it thinks that youre
inflating your tires, so the air suspension is left where it is.. haha
But it is definitely better than the ones with links, this one you set it to
comfort and there's no change compare to stock.. all pasm mode works properly..
thing that bothers me is the same with Daz.. the inflating spare tire warning
turns on..oh well
if you switch to off position youre back to stock mode..
why didnt I think of this mod ... haha
can someone try putting the suspension on loading level... then attach
the hose to the air compressor? then try driving? I'm curious...hehehe
but all i can say is it's worth it... if youre thinking of the links this is a better alternative... I've driven the techart ones.. what I like about that is the auto lowering function, but that's about it, it rides the same if not better..

wait wait wait. Did you just say that it turns the spare tire inflation alarm on? with that disgusting beep sound... i don't think it's acceptable. is it the same on all the lowering modules?

Can Berk,
No annoying alarm other than start-up. And upon further inspection I've found after keeping the Module on for 4 days straight I noticed it looked lower than just the loading level. So I measured again and compared to my original installation loading level and I'm lower by 1inch. Yes!!!! Keep it on and you will find a level lower than stock loading level, and still with a great ride.
BTW- Tried leaving the air-hose in and it didn't work. It went back up to low level at 3mph.

It raises back up when you turn it off, or does it stay that 1" below loading level, DASWagenz?
Since this is the new fresh thing, its time for a group buy -- no??
Someone tell the owner to arrange a group buy price on here.

It will stay 1 inch lower than loading level if you keep the unit on for multiple days. I think the air-bags settle to some degree and it will remain at that level until you switch unit off and return to stock level. I assume it will take a little time to "settle" again.
I also spoke with the owner tonight about a group price for us and he agreed to give anyone from 6speedonline a $50.00 discount if we ordered more than 20 units, and a $75 discount with more than 50 units. His mom is going through a cancer battle and he agreed to donate 30% of his sales to cancer patients and research. Sounds like a win-win.

I don't understand how you can compare this to lowering links, as the links take the truck LOWER than standard loading level. These are two completely different options in my mind. One let's your drive at the lowest factory setting, one lowers the truck beyond factory.
I was going to place an order for this a few days ago like I said I would. But I could be selling the CayenneS so I thought I would hold off.
This override will let you ride in loading level which is not as low as the links can take it but it does give it a better ride. How do I know? I know how to get the SUV to stay at the loading level over 3mph and its not with the air hose attached. The problem is that the Sports button won't function. But it will give me the dampening controls through PASM. The Sports throttle response does not kick in until it is raised up from loaded. The ride at the loading level is much better than the ride quality of the Links at lowered level.
AT the OEM Loading level was better than the Links Lowered Level as far as ride quality.
The only way I could tolerate going over bumps, etc was to raise the SUV to the Normal level with the links in to make it compliant. But when you raised it to the Normal Level it looked like OEM Normal as well - so it defeated the purpose of the links unless you wanted the lowered look while you were parked or driving over a very smooth road.
For an experiment I took the links just a hair above the point where it would give me a Chassis Warning Level for being too low and disabled the raising of the car at loading level. So I had loading level plus lowest link level. It road like total crap but let me tell you about FLAT FLAT FLAT cornering and taking a corner like it was on rails. It was fun and I only did it for a trip down the street and back. I live behind some twisty roads and it was fun as hell but hit a bump and your teeth would fall out.
Anyways enough of my ramblings.
nice write-up on links.
One thing I don't like about the Techart lowering is that it auto lowers when you park.
This is good and bad.
Good b/c nicer to get out and in, but bad, b/c what it you are parked too close to a curb, then the techart will auto lower to lowest level and the car might bottom and hit curb.
Not liking that....

Ok so I did a cheap mod to try it.
I turned the key in the first position. I plugged in the air compressor in the front. I made sure I was in loading level when I turned the car on.
It beeped that I was filling the tire and I drove off. It stayed in the loading position but the ride was a little ruf and the wife said to take it off.
The other problem was that you cannot activate sport mode.
My question is:
Can you get a air pump just to activate the compressor so you can drive in valet mode?
