Allright guys.. thinking of modding the cayenne .. its a 2008 basalt black/chestnut brown V6 tiptronic... would like to avoid black wheels.. any suggestions are more than welcome.. attached is a current pic.. i love the techart formula GTS and the rinspeed C5/1 5spoke wheels... please pour in the suggestions

I think the TechArts are not bad. I can pick up a local set for $2300 with tires but I haven't yet.

The front spoiler is overpriced and I wish they would come down. The front facia cover to convert your V6 to a GTS/Turbo look is under $900.00 here in the US. That includes turn signals, etc. The air is routed differently from the non GTS/Turbo front face so just make sure it gets good air flow and check the ducts to make sure they flow to the same areas.

The front lip from TechArt is around $3600 US. The Exchange rate sucks for us at the moment.

If you have PASM(Air-Suspension) then a lowering module is needed. If you don't lower the car I do not think it would look as aggressive/nice.

I like the RinSpeeds C5/1 the best. I also like the Stock 21" GTS wheels. I think its the better looking wheel for the Cayenne.

 

I should go with techart for ext

 

Go for the Techart front bumper, Techart wheels and get the Tequipment flares.

 

i wold definately not be lowering the car ... i have pasm.. thinking of techart formula GTS with chrome lip 22" and rear tubo bumper .. i am confused b/w techart front bumper and turbo bumper as i think the techart front looks good only when the car is lowered .. what do u think bout this?? any pics of techarts??

Bill - that is the OEM bumper. They have come down a lot since the 06 Turbo days.

I was quoted a pretty fair price from my dealer. Suncoast is very good as well.

I asked for the GTS bumper skin, the turn signal lights, and the grill pieces. All came to under $900 bones.

I haven't decided if the GTS is worth the price of what I paid for mine and an upgrade. I really use it as an SUV not a sports SUV at the moment. The interior upgrades are not worth the 20K difference. The suspension is better but without PDCC it won't be worth it. The PDCC optioned GTS's are at least 30K more. I just can't justify that. I wanted white for the longest time and they loaned me one the other day. It wasn't as great as I had hoped. I have seen them many times and been around them but having it for a couple of days and looking at it in different lights I would not want it daily. I would like to get a Carrera White special order.

 

I really like the first pic. Those wheels are also sick.

 

Get the Rinspeed kit and wheels, haven't seen the kit on a customer car and the Rinspeed wheels are the best for the Cayenne.

 

I would highly suggest the New RINSPEED X-Treme kit....

I recommend the Rinspeed wheels in all silver, the design is al about the beauty of simplicity. There's a russian (?) kit that mawtes the 997 turbo nose with the Cayenne body. Looks awesome from the front.

wht do u think about the hofele body kit..u can see it on hofele.com .. go to the porsche tuning section..i like it... it's kind of unique... most people get the tech-art or the rinspeed body kit..the hofele kits are rare but they dont appeal to everyone..

 

one more thing, i have been seeing alot of fake rinspeed parts specially the wheels.. they are making alot of replicas.. so becareful =)

 

I like the Rinspeed and Techart kits they are just stupidly priced. No matter the discount. It's not a high volume piece so therefore I can understand some need to keep the price high but into the stratosphere.

I have yet to see to see anywhere they make a Rinspeed Replica Wheel.
