2003 Cayenne Turbo for 30K!?!?

Hey guys

I have a 996 right now but I am wanting something a little bigger since I have only one car. I have been looking at Cayenne Turbos, but most of them were more than I wanted to spend. I have found a 2003 Turbo on Ebay for only $30,000. The car looks absolutely perfect and has only 47k miles on it, and the good looking 20inch upgraded wheels. SO...is there anything I should know about or look for...is this a good price?? anything would help me out! Thanks guys!

it has the previous pcm (even the one before 2.1), previous floor mats, and lots of problems(according to the tech guy at the dealership)

I'd much rather have an 05 or 06 for $10-20K more.

Carfaxed one deal on a Cayenne that came up short with previous damage as the price was about 5K cheaper than it should have been selling for... Passed that one up for an other with a clean bill of health. . .

Delivery should take place soon.... My garage is getting full again... =)~

Another Data Point

If it helps, I am heading up this weekend to pick up my new used '05 Cayenne Turbo. It is CPO for another 2 and change yrs with 38k on the clock. Fairly hard loaded includes the 20" Techno wheels, new tires all around and I am in the low $40s before TT&L. Spend another 10k or get an S!

hmm yeah they seem to be really cheap now with high gas prices and whatnot....i just cant spend that much money at all and was looking at this 2003 turbo as a more practical daily driver than my 911...i was wondering if i got a 6 month warranty or a year or something to make sure the bugs were worked out...

Don't put yourself into more than you can. It is not worth it.

The early models were problematic. I would stay away. Warranty or no it is a pain for these early models.

The gas alone will eat you up if you are drving this city/hwy stop and go.

Just curious as to what were some of the problems on the early Cayennes and when did they improve...? Kinda sounds like the 996 and the early years to me....

Thanks,

-Eli
