Many instances of locking up, some installers will not use them anymore due to rework isues and complaints, not limited to Cayenne units.

You can really use anything to get that trim piece off, I use a hex wrench that's small enough to fit around the face plate and gently pop it off, you basically stick it in towards the bottom and gently pry up while working it up to the top.

I really want to install my dension unit up front instead of in the back where the changer is. I have it installed in the back by the changer because I could not for the life of me figure out how to wire it up front behind the radio. I followed the directions from dension but never got it to work. Only reason I want it up front is so I can use my iphone instead of buying a new ipod once my video in motion module comes in. Nothing would work with it wired behind the radio, I'd get an amp failure in the MOST loop so no sound would work whatsoever, I don't know if it has to do with the dipswitchs that you have to flip for the dension unit or not but I tried a ton of different options. I don't even know if anyone has answers for it as I had done a ton of searching prior to install and the only installation I found of the dension that I could actually get to work was the one posted here with the unit installed in the back by the changer since I could see the dip switches and how they were flipped.

PS this thread is ancient kthxbai

Finally I installed it and put the bypass ring to the CDChanger socket.
However, the PCM tries to "Loading CD..." irregularly and during the loading time, the PCM hanged and the front CD slot mechanism has some sound.

What can u do? I can listen now to my iPod but it stopped irregularly.

There is just alot of time in taking apart components. First for the Cayenne we had to pull out the right rear panel to access the back of the factory CD Changer to connect a wire. The head unit was simple to pop off the trim plate and then take out the head unit. Once we installed the module in the back and added the infrared cable needed for the 2004 model, we had to run the actual iPod connecting wire which is what your iPod plugs into. We wanted to run it to the center console glove box so we pulled the console all out. The entire process is about a 3 hour job if you DIY or a shop can do it in about 1 - 2 hours.

You can view the DICE products here - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/d...s-p-54579.html

Can the Dice product be installed in-line with my factory Sirrius radio connection so that I can use both?
