Is there a HP upgrade option for Cayenne Turbo coming or not???

I have been waiting to order a 2005 Cayenne Turbo because I have read that there will be an "X-50" type option for 50HP increase on the new CT's. Should I stop waiting and just buy one? I would be very pissed if the option came out later in the year because it is NOT installable aftermarket. Thanks for any info.

Porsche is usually pretty tight on upcoming packages, The X50 style packages are usually higher priced lowered powered versions of what the tuners offer for the vehicles already.. The X50 cost $17000.00 for app 50 HP. Apply that amount to any of the aftermarket kits available and you woud get at least 100HP

Just something to consider

But you're at least keeping the warranty by paying the premium for the X50...

wow thats a first. Maybe its the way you drove in that race maybe something just went wrong. Try to do a dyno to find out whether you really gained any HP

Does the EVO chip upgrade require soldering?

What about the Upsolute?

Also, EVO's chips have historically been undetectable by scans. What about Upsolute? If you take it to the dealer, will they know that it has been chipped?

Turbo Power Kit (E81), US$19,900 - available for 9PAAF1. Consisting of a substantial number of new parts, this option increases engine performance to 500hp. The reinforced braking system provides stopping power to match the horsepower increase and suspension modifications improve handling characteristics. 19-inch or 20-inch wheels are required.

West Palm, I'm going to my dealer tomorrow to order my 05 turbo now that the pano roof is available. Do you have more details on the E81 kit? I'm glad they upgraded to brakes to go with the increased HP. A 10% (OK purisits, the 11.1111%) kick is going to be substantial, but for an additional $20k?

Not worth it IMO...
If I could change one thing in my Porsche past it would be NOT ordering the X50 option on my 03

I'm concerned about going the aftermarket route and warranty issues. I noticed you've done a boatload of mods on your 911TT. The fact that the E81 kit also includes upgraded brakes is a huge plus. From what I gather, going aftermarket, I could probably save 8-9k and get similar results.
I'm seriously torn on this one.

Why do you regret ordering the x50 package?
