1st Post! New Updates on Bose Aftermarket upgrade...
1st post on the forum, signed up this morning
after spending 8+hrs last night scrolling through
threads searching for info on the BOSE System
Aftermarket Upgrade.......
Seems like its a common complicated issue for
Porsche Owners.... I am picking up a '05 Cayenne S
this friday w/ 35k miles Black/Black and it comes with
all the features minus PCM Navi (but it does have the BOSE)
I wanted to put a Kenwood DNX8120 double din...
1) I've found the japanese dash kit on ebay for the $350
that most say is well worth it - I dont mind having my installer
create a custom plate but then I have to find the adapter plug
2) I also found the CANPULSE4 to use the steering wheel controls
3) Now the Big issue is the BOSE "MOST " BUS Connection
--- seems like the MOBRIDGE add-on doesn't help the cause ---
I did see a few custom setups involving AMP upgrades and total
re-wiring of the system.... Is this the only way and the best way????
If anyone has any suggestions or news regarding this matter, please help!
thanks,
Rick
