how to reset ECU

If i reset the ECU will have any problems

i got that you tried to mean reset, but still what do you mean by resetting the ECU?

i got a new air filter and getting a chip and my friend told me for it to make a difference in power you should reset the ecu but maybe he doesn't know what hes talking about

no such thing old ecu's used to learn from the way you drive the car. If you drive the car like a granny, the ecu learns that profile and adjusts the car to a more economic mode, if you drive like you stole it, then the ecu adjusts the car to work in a higher performance mode, but that's not true with newer cars. So, nothing to worry about. The easiest way to reset the ECU would be to remove the battery and wait for 30 minutes (guessing) then plug the battery back
