Install Air Suspension

Just wondering if anyone out there had installed the air suspension after they bought the car, vice ordering it that way. I know it will be pretty pricey but i just wanted to hear from folks that had it and what they thought about it.

How much better is the ride? Does it bring with it a lot of maint headaches? Could you live without it?

thanks,
David

not price conducive to do afterwards.
I wouldn't order the EU version of the Cayenne without air suspension.
It is a wonderful option and worth every cent.
Not one maint. issue with mine.
Plus it's under warranty.

You can possibly add a similar after market product, but it will just be close in comparison. Not as perfected or adv. as the stock system.

My first Cayenne was a "S" and it had steel springs. Very rough ride, but I got used to it. I'm now driving a GTS that has air suspension. I think that its a nice option to have but IMO the steel springs made the S a great handling vehicle, maybe even a little better than my GTS.

Your gts has pdcc?
I find it hard to believe that a s without pdcc and steel springs was better than a gts with pdcc. Who knows

My GTS does not have pdcc. My 04 S would stay perfectly level around sharp corners and had great handling as long as you could keep your fillings in you teeth. It was a very rough ride.
With that being said, I still prefer the air suspension and given that my GTS sits lower, it is still faster in and out of turns than my old S.
