i just checked my coils---they are cracked---but
the dealer says that there are no faults and no cel so he refused to inspect them......
i took them out and they end in part nos 002-----and they have hairline cracks---all f******** eight of them-----
the vehicle is going in for some engine noise issues on monday as warranty is ending in 400kms----how do i get them to now replace these coils
or
am i out of luck

If you can take your coils out, then pull of the covers and just pull a couple of the coil wires off and start the motor. That should cause it to show a few codes. They are up to 005 on the coils now, sooner or later those coils you have will fail.

There is a possibility of your new engine saving you some more money down the road. Reman engines now come with the updated aluminum cooling pipes, so unless you've had this repair done once already, you lucked out there as well. Might have them at least inspect it to verify that the reman engine (if reman is the case) does come with the metal pipes, if not, easy time to put them in, and I've seen this conversion covered (paid for) once before on a new engine that did not have them yet. Something to consider.....
