TT Gasman,

Could you pm me with the details of your purchase as well. Found a local dealer with an 08 GTS still, and am very interested. TIA

Haven't done it yet. I am actually leaning towards the 09 S right now as well. If you end up dealing, let me know as well. Thanks.

ps - can't PM yet, under the 15 post count.

What is making you lean that way? No comparison on the driving side, right?

I would plan on making trips to snowboard in the Sierras in the winter time, and don't know if I would want to have a winter tire setup. Would then worry about the lower side skirts and valances. Is that a silly concern?

I have an 08' GTS....for driving to Tahoe, all I did is get an 18" winter wheel setup. Actually, I get better traction on the lowest suspension setting. Not sure if the S has the option for suspension leveling, but its there if you want more clearance. The only real 'negative' on the GTS is the extended rear roof spoiler that gets in the way with long skis on the roof, but proper ski alignment helps out that issue

Thanks for the info. I guess winter wheels for four months wouldn't be too bad if there are no clearance issues. What kind of rack system do you have?

driven both and own the GTS, and not even a debate.
Get the better performing vehicle hands down.
The GTS feels more luxurious, nicer front face and rear, and is just a better choice.
Hope you make the right, and only decision you really have to make.

I've got the roof rails so I can swap yakima parts/attachments from both of my cars. Depending on how much gear I need to bring, I use the rocket box and ski racks. And if you a biker, you can throw on the bike one as well. Pretty easy to take on and off, so if you need to properly wash your GTS, its not that big of a deal.

Here's a shot when a fellow Kiwi from NZ Skier magazine came to visit...you can see the setup on the roof. Also, my GTS is trashed...

How does the GTS compare with the older Turbo S model? Haven't spec'd one out yet but do they offer bluetooth and modern electronics?
