Alright guys i just picked up my '05 cayenne TT this past week from MI and i want to change the oil for my own peace of mind since i don't know when it was done last. I've got the oil and filter, but i have been reading about needing to replace the two drain plugs each time you change the oil.
Questions
1) Is it really necessary to change to drain plugs, do they leak if not?

2) If i do need to change them any idea on the dimensions of the bolts or washer so i can get replacements from an autoparts store?

 

Did my own oil change on my S and didn't remember changing the plugs just the washers. Tightened them up and no leaks. Sunset Porsche is a good resource, you can ask them.
