physical differences between GTS Engine and Turbo Engine?

Other than the 2 turbos -- are the engines different physically / strength wise?
I am considering a custom GTS TT build

I think GTS engine won't be able to handle a pressure boost...

Damn, I didnt check to see 2008 Turbo prices. Would cost the same to just upgrade to a 2008 Turbo - which is what I will be doing.

Preferred colors = white, black or metallic blue.
