Cayenne vs Fx45

Just wondering what you guys thought about the cayenne vs the fx..

car comparo mags put the cayenne at the No. 1 spot : ( just infront of the fx) http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...omparison_test

Whats funny is that C&D , put Cayenne at No 1, and the Tourag in Last spot
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...omparison_test
even though they are built from the same chassis, parts, and suspension? It seems like Stuggart -favorite-itism.

Well, first off, that Car and Driver comparison put the Cadillac in first. Not a fan of any Cadillac, but I do have an opinion on the Cayenne versus FX. I love the looks of both cars, but favor the newer styling on the Cayenne over the FX. Both cars sound really good (exhaust notes I mean), but again I have to hand it to the Cayenne. I could see the debate, but I think I would pick a Cayenne over the FX any day.

Cheers,
Brendan

hey sorry, it was actually the motortrend article that put the Cayenne in No. 1 spot lookie here: http://www.trucktrend.com/roadtests/..._features.html

Motortrend or CD , cayenne finishes in either 1 or 2 spot

Interesting comparison between the FX 50 and Cayenne S. The article doesn't declare a clear winner but details the strengths and weakness of each vehicle.

Guys, come on now ! Even if the FX50 was better in any way, did you see the way it looks?!?! Disgusting!!! I shouldn't say that having owned the 45, but the 1st generation looked very good, this looks like a disaster.

That's why I bought the FX45 instead of the 1st generation Cayenne. The FX looked better than the 1st gen Cayenne.

The 2nd gen Cayenne: magnificent. The 2nd gen FX: horrible; I'd be ashamed to be seen in to to be frank.

It was other way around for me, I really liked the 1st gen of Cayenne than the face-lifted Cayenne. The 1st generation has more traditional look on, I guess I really don't like the face-lifted bumper design to be more specific.

its always the weird designs, taht end up being the sales hits

alligator face may well prove to have the last laugh.

cayenne is 6 years old already, the japs seems to innovate more quickly.

I had the FX45 and traded it in for the CTT. Honestly.. sometimes I wish I hadn't. I loved that car. Problem free, great interior, nice handling and power. It was a great car all the way to the 100K mark. I even thought of trading in the CTT on a FX50S. I know some think I'm insane.. but they REALLY are nice cars. Not to sure of the look on the new body.. not the biggest fan of the lights.. but it still looks pretty sick driving down the road.

Hmm, I dunno about that one. I loved the Cayenne when I had one for a few weeks as a loaner. Kind of up to you.
How about a SRT8 Jeep?
