New Pads - Looking for recommendation
Axxis Deluxe Plus -
The Deluxe Plus compound is an outstanding choice for those looking to improve performance over OE pads, but who insist on very low levels of dust and virtually no noise. The pad has a very linear torque output throughout its operating range, is very easy on rotors, and exhibits great pad life. Very low dust, low noise, low rotor wear. Street Only. Not for track use.
any one have these?

FYI for all who are watching - in addition to the hawk ceramics and hardware - I just order 4 Cross drilled and slotted rotors from R1 Concepts. I will of course post results and pics as soon as they are on. I will now be shifting the install to next weekend as i wont have the rotors until Tuesday. stay tuned . . . .

Bought the hawks from Tire Rack (they ship from Delaware so I get them in 2 days). I bought the E-lines direct after an extensive conversation with R1. Here is why:
Quote " The premiums wont brake any better then the e-lines, they are just made with a better grade steel and the top hats are painted. "
The conclusion is simple; you can buy 8 e-lines for the price of 4 premiums. The premiums will probably be more crack resistant, but its a negligible purchase for me as I generally don't keep my vehicles to long and I don't track.
I decided on R1 as they seem to have a good following in other forums (like the jeep SRT8) and lots of positive comments about customer support. In the end, if this combo works out it will be a lot of bang for the buck. If they suck, I will openly admit my mistake to help others avoid the same pitfall.
(Wow - my 100th post - WaWa Zee Wa . . . very niayce)

That i was able to figure out, the V6 has 330MM rotors in the front and the rear. The V8s (excluding the Turbo S and any Cayenne with the brake power kit) use 350MM in the front and 330MM in the rear.
HAWKS CERAMICS JUST SHOWED UP:
Well Packed (no movement so no chipped pads)

Part numbers (for 05 cayanne s with 350mm front and 330 mm rear rotors):

Nice chamfer on the edges (reduce squeal) and note the vibration dampers as well:

Anti-rattle plates pre-installed:

Overall, nice quality. The will go on next weekend along with my new cross-drilled so I will post feedback then.

Cool. I ordered some cryro'd slotted rotors from Frozen Rotors this week for the front and Porterfield R4-S street pads. I'll post separately once those come in as well. I would have ordered the rears as well, but I just blew $$ on some magnesium wheels for the bike.
I think Head already posted sep. I did not post yet as i lost the lift time last sat. My buddy will not let me use the lift without his head mechanic there for insurance reasons. As long as the guy shows up, I should have this job done this weekend with pickup on Monday. I hope he does as I am getting tire of seeing all these new parts sit in my garage. Outrside of this, I did get my rotors and spent an entire sat painting them. I am Soooooo tempted to post the pics now but i really want to do 1 post with my start to finish brake endevor.
I'm very interested in the Ceramic Hawk pads after reading several posts here. I have an '06 Turbo S. I believe my front rotors are 380mm (15"). I can't seem to find the pads listed. I've look at several sites. Does anyone know the Hawk part number for the pads that will fit the Turbo S?
Thank you.
Thank you.
First of all - Your lucky dog ! I could not find the Ts combo I wanted when I was shopping.
Secondly - I bought my Hawks from Tire Rack as the price was right and shipping fast. However,
you have a turbo S and you may have the upgraded brakes (not the 350mm like mine).
Hawk has an online application guide found here: http://www.hawkperformance.com/parts/index.php
I did a quick search on 06 turbo s and here is what they returned:
4 Parts Found Part # Description
HB502N.606 Disc Brake Pad; HP Plus w/0.606 Thickness; Rear; HB502F.606 Disc Brake Pad; HPS Performance Street w/0.606 Thickness; Rear; HB502Y.606 Disc Brake Pad; LTS w/0.606 Thickness; Rear; HB502Z.606 Disc Brake Pad; Performance Ceramic w/0.606 Thickness; Rear;
Anyway - I would call hawk direct to validate and of course check the stampings on your calipers to see what rotor size you have.
