Help me decide ... 2009 Black or Silver GTS?

I'm jumping into this thing. Test drove one on Sunday and fell head over heels. Can't afford the Turbo but the GTS is pretty nice with plenty of power.

There was a black one in the showroom that was so gorgeous I couldn't believe it. I just wanted it. I was ready to do anything.

Then I started thinking about the fact that I don't have a garage and I live in area where it rains a lot and in the winter we get our roads salted quite a bit ...

I figured the silver was really nice, not nearly as drop-dead good looking, but more practical.

I'm 80% leaning towards the silver. Am I making a mistake or the right decision?

I have black, although it is a pain after washing to get all the water marks out - it is worth it when it looks clean!
I have a silver Land Rover and that is easy and looks good but the black is great!!! (as long as you are committed)

I have always been a fan of silver...until I saw meteor gray. A color I would definitely throw into the mix!

Take the black! Just get yourself a pass to a car wash for a year.

I think Black is a great color, especially on Cayennes, but if don't keep your car covered and you get a lot of rain in your area then get Gray.. Unless you are ready to spend a lot of time in the car washes then go for a black one. I personally think Cayenne looks best in Black (if you are going more towards luxury look), if more towards sporty look, then go for Meteor Gray. I'm not sure about silver thought...I think silver is more Carrera color IMO.

Pretty tough choice to make there.

I was initially in for silver or white but then ended up getting black and I just love the color on Cayenne.

After living with a black car for four years, I'd go with another color be it gray or silver. As everyone has said, when clean a black car looks the best.. but you have to wash the car every week in order to keep it looking sharp (especially if you are considering driving the car everyday). I already went through that once with a sedan and I didn't really want to repeat that with a larger vehicle.

You cant go wrong with either color. I currently have a 06 turbo in silver that im going to sale. I love the color, silver on black.... but like you said when you see a black on black you want it too..

Good choice. Silver is a color and black is a hobby (at least if you do it right). For you situation, I think you 100% made the right decision.
