cost of first service?
cost of first service?
my 09 GTS needed its first service. i had 9500 miles and the service light came on. it was no more than oil service ans basic stuff. how much did you guys paid for the same service? thanks.
My pepper about to get its first service also...I also would like to know how much it would cost and what all included in the first service? I pamper all my cars and like to work on them, what can i work on at home? Thanks.
here is why i asked:
i went down to the dealer for my service. i drove more than an hour because i enjoyed my purchasing experience and they sent me a coupon for 15% off. i was charged 285 for the service. i didn't see the discount written on the invoice but was told that it was included in the price. this was confirmed by the cashier calling the service advisor. everything was fine at that time.
then i ran into some friends all with cayenne gts. after lots of random conversations, i realized most of them paid around what i paid without any coupon. one of the guy even called and made an appointment for his car at the same dealer. he called to let me know he got a quote for 285.
so i asked the service advisor where is my 15%. she told me it was because they had to use 10qt of oil, instead of 9. they also had to use another drain ring. therefore, the extra cost was about 15 dollars.
well, this sounded like BS to me. the math doesn't even add up. she must have read my email for 15% but thinking it was 15 dollars, and made up that number for the dollar amount thinking it was equal. it is almost an insult to my intelligence.
i then told her the number doesn't add up. my 15 % is not offset by 15 dollars. more so, did porsche made my cayenne different, so i have to pay for more oil and drain ring for my standard service?
i was then offered a complimentary detail or 40 dollars for my next service. again, there is still no explanation on my bill and how the math came about. i think they just didn't want to honor my 15% off and tried to cheat me until i started asking questions. anyway, that is the end of the story and it's bs...
