Was at my dealer today looking at a GTS. I want a white manual. He said production on the GTS is ending and no more manuals, except for the base Cayenne. Hope he's wrong.

 

i don't think they are making any more cayenne for the remainder of 09 to my understanding. Due to the crisis that we are in. Also big factor is that the panemera should be for sale by the 4th quarter which I believe production is beginning as we speak.

Thats what Ive been told.

but it doesnt make sense, because if they have to stop cayenne production for almost a year for the Panemera how are they ever going to have them realeased at the same time...

What ever the situation is I do not have an anwser, but when ever a car salesman tells you something at the dealership it is most likely a Lie. They lie even when there is no reason to do so. If anyone thinks that dealerships are any thing more than liars you are niave.

My guess would be no more new cayennes coming in with or without stick for the remainder of the 09" model. But when 2010 comes out, stick will still be available

 

I thought Cayenne model has been pretty profitable for Porsche.
Doesn't make sense to discontinue the model that has been profitable.

 

Production of Cayennes has stopped for now as the factory's are the same ones making the Panamera

 

It does when they are selling for $15k under sticker.

 

they are not discontinuing it just halting production. simple laws of supply and demand

 

It sounds right with the current economy and the 3rd generation Cayenne due for mid-2010.

the cayenne is one of the top sellers for Porsche.
It isn't dicontinued permantly, just temporarily, year's end.
Market conditions, but they will start again 2010.
