Towing electrics help!

Hi...looked thro all the threads about porsche electrics and LED lights etc, but didnt find the answer. I have a 08 CS that i bought few months ago with a hitch installed...dont know, but presume it was dealer installed - has 2 german stickers on side - gMbh etc!!

so last week hired a trailer from U-haul and none of lights work. guys there looked at it for me, and we played with a volt meter and a bulb. only way we can get the bulb to light is to touch the -ve and the +ve terminals....touching the -ve and any of the stop/turn/brake etc signals gets about 2 volts only! any ideas why?

need a visit to the dealer ? i heard about alarm and puts tranny into tow mode etc, why why would there be no 12v voltages at any of the pins? Thanks!!

If the trailer had LED lights, I believe you need an adaptor: (scroll to bottom on related items)

But it doesn't make sense none of the existing pins are putting out 12v... Since you do not know who put in the wirings, maybe it has not been programmed? I do know the dealer has to program something to activate it.

Hope that helps!
