Cayenne, built to last?

Whatever it's worth I had a 04 CS that I purchased when the model first came out and I drove this thing HARD to say the least. Not a single major problem with the truck. Only pain was the rear wiper cover always falls off other then that it's a sweet truck. Sold it a yr ago with 76k miles.

Do you guys think its built well enough to buy an 04 TT with 90k miles with a clear conscience!?!?
I have one in my sights that is so cheap, its stupid not to buy it... I know the porsche quirks, have had 911s and a boxster but have never owned a porsche with more than 40 miles... Is the Cayenne TT capable of being a good car well over 100k miles?

As many others have mentioned, I too had the coolant hoses replaced. Luckily under warranty at 49,900 miles. Otherwise it would have been an expensive repair!!!
The dealer replaced with the aluminum ones and so far no other problems.

I bought my '05 S two years ago with 49K on her. She now has a little over 80K. I change my own oil and also put new pads on the front at about 65K.
Had to replace the water pump then also and put on a new belt while I was there. To me it's just normal maintenance, nothing out of the ordinary. I was told about the water pump by the dealer when I had it in for the state inspection. He said that they were only good for about 60K miles before you had to replace them. It was actually very ease to replace! Gotta love the German engineering. I'll never drive anything else. Love it!

Any modern car should realisticly last 500K-1,000,000 miles if taken care of in a reasonable manner.
The biggest problem with cars is the owners. There is this magical mental block around 100K miles. As soon as any wear item needs a touch of work they want to abandon the car for something "More reliable".
Ever had a friend start to whine about how they "need" a new car because it is "becoming unreliable" yet it has never needed a day of work in its life? Maybe it wore out it's second set of tires.
Honestly, most people just "want" another car. That is 100% fine. Just don't cover it up or "justify it" with mythical excuses about reliablilty.
Sorry, kind of a rant for me. I have run several cars well over 200K and some very close to 300K with few issues. They are actually fairly cheap to run at that point. Most of the "issues" that new cars have get taken care of or upgraded by the original warranty owner. Any 'breakable" items have usually let go and been replaced by then too. Everything else just keeps working and some wear items need replaced from time to time.
The Cayenne seems to be pretty well engineered by a company known for it. I think most of the issues are fairly simple. They should last a long time with little effort. Certainly cheaper than buying a new one every few years. I plan on 200K on mine before moving up to a newer one.

I have a 2006 Cayenne S with 110,000 miles, which means I've been naked (no warranty) for 60,000 miles and I have not had a single problem. Incredible vehicle which can do it all.
I just ordered a 2011 Cayenne S, which is scheduled for a 9/2 build.
Here's my spec (which is very similar to my current Cayenne S:
* Cayenne S
* Jet Black Metalic
* Black Full Leather
* 8 way power seats
* '19 design II wheel
* Painted center caps
* PCM
* NAV
* Bose
* XM SAT radio
* Voice control
* Panoroof
* Multi-function steering wheel in leather (heated)
* Alu roof rails and carrying system
* Heated Seats
* Heated Windscreen
* Crest in Headrests (front and rear)
* Auto dimming mirror
* TPMS
* Xenons

The CTT is a whole different beast so I can't comment.

Quote from today on another Cayenne forum. Owner was talking about his 04CTT.
