Bought my first Cayeene 2 years ago, it was a 05tt with 61k miles and a 95k msrp car when new and I paid 38k for her. Also bought an easy care platinum 3 yr 36k mile wrty for 4k which was the best thing I could have done.

Warranty paid out 16k in 2 yrs with $100 deductable per visit. From 61k to 73k miles it had:

coolant pipes
new radio head unit
new dvd head unit
new satalite radio module
new ac compressor or coil or both?
new rebuilt tranny with module
new parking brake module

This is what I can recall of top of my head but I think I am missing a few more. Naturally I did the 60k and 70k service and put new ft/rr rotors and pads and set of tires not much prior to trading for an 08 ctt recently.

Driving car to Ft Worth last week to trade, I honestly was almost talking myself out of it because I only owed 27k and was about to pay her off and she was driving better than ever.

I told myself if I drive the 08 and it does not feel much improved or if the car has issues in person I will not consumate the deal and just stay with mine. However, the 08 with pdcc and more options than mine had drove like a totally different car. The 08 had a msrp of 115,500 and 46k miles with a few thousand left on new car wrty and cpo'd until 10-2013 so that is 3 years of protection.

I paid 62,400 and got what I owed on my 05 and 4.09% on 60 mos, so I am very happy. If anyone wants a super clean well cared for 05 Ctt with all the above and more done to it you should check out autobahn motorcars in Ft Worth Tx. I think they are going to CPO the car too.

My goal is to pick up a 2011 CTT with similar miles in 2-3 years for around the same price.

wow, im glad I stumbled onto this thread, I recently just purchased an '04 Jarma Beige CS with about 55k miles on the odo. Im coming from a long line of black cars and now took the beige because of this heat here in vegas! LOL But im glad to say just got the car checked out at the dealer and everything is running just fine! Im also wondering whats notorious for going wrong in the car.. is it the drive shaft and the coolant lines?
